"With much encouragement and positive reinforcement, he helped [my daughter] not only learn but become confident in her knowledge . . . Any student who has the privilege of being tutored by this young man will thrive!" - Parent, February 22, 2024

"Samvat was an amazing individual and tutor. He helped many students to understand and learn the math skills needed to close their gaps, thus required before passing to the next grade level. Sam’s ability to evaluate them quickly, accurately, and effectively enabled them to feel comfortable and confident in themselves. Additionally, it was rewarding to see and hear students acknowledge their appreciation of Samvat’s work. Kudos to Samvat Yadav!" - School Representative, May 1, 2024

"Samvat Yadav is an exceptional tutor who strives to bring out the very best in his students. His instructions really reflects his knowledge and understanding of various topics in the [SAT®] which he has passed on to his students. For example, he thoroughly looks into strengths and weaknesses of his students and makes sure to evaluate each and every one of them to the best of his ability. Furthermore, he tries to make the learning fun by incorporating humor into the classes. Moreover he makes sure that his students are not discouraged by low practice scores and understandings of various topics." - Student, August 22, 2024

I'm Sam Yadav, and I'm a senior at Columbia University. To equip myself for the role of an SAT® and AP® instructor, I've acquired a vast range of experience in standardized test preparation and in teaching. My students' results speak for themselves.

I'm passionate about child neuroscience. My curriculum prepares me for medical graduate studies. I've been able to develop my critical thinking, leadership, and collaboration skills by working with a team on many occasions—in a science journal, for example—and by engaging in carefully selected courses.

By means of my experience with rigorous humanities literature and coursework, I have exposed myself to various forms of writing and the commonalities in these genres, and this experience has afforded me unique perspectives on how to approach the Reading and Writing sections on the college entrance exams in which I specialize; by familiarizing myself with these forms of writing, I know where to look for key information in a text, how to recognize grammatical particularities, and how to apply the conventions associated with particular genres.

My experience not only as a thinker, but also as a teacher to various levels of students makes me a best fit for the position of a college entrance exam instructor. I have worked with students from the college to high school to kindergarten levels, so I have an exceptional capability to adapt to the various learning needs of different students. Moreover, in the tutoring and team-based settings I mention above, I have developed the interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with students, regardless of age or skill level, and with coworkers. Thus, by hiring me as your instructor, you can be sure that you’re in excellent hands.
